Letter from Victor, [2nd] Lord Lytton (11, North Audley Street [London]) to WSC marked "private" concerning the treatment of his sister [Constance, Lady Lytton] who was imprisoned under the name of Jane Wharton for her support of womens' suffrage and subjected to forcible feeding in a Liverpool prison Lytton says that he was not satisfied with WSC's letter to him or with the Home Office enquiry; that the prison officials were to blame for not discovering his sister's medical condition as [Lord Gladstone] had publicly declared that a medical examination should precede forcible feeding. Signed manuscript.
