Letter from Mary Spears [later Mary, Lady Spears] (The Albany, [London]) to WSC reporting that during conversations in Paris [France] she did not find the anti-British feeling seen in the French press and that the main topic of conversation there was the connection of Philippe de Berthelot with the scandal of the Banque Industrielle de Chine. Reports that Edward Spears is in Prague [Czechoslovakia], commiserates on the death of Lady Randolph Churchill and wishes she could have bought WSC's picture of Ightham Mote [Kent].
