Papers by various individuals including: General Jan Smuts on the dissolution of the war organisation committee; [17th] Lord Derby [earlier Edward Stanley] Secretary of State for War, on gun ammunition and salvage; [1st ] Lord Rhondda [earlier David Thomas] Food Controller, recommending a National Salvage Board; Colonel [Lancelot] Storr on the extension of the British front in France; Rowland Prothero [later 1st Lord Ernle] President of the Board of Agriculture, Christopher Addison [Minister of Reconstruction], and William Fisher [later 1st Lord Downham], President of the Local Government Board, on the use of waste products; Sir Eric Geddes, First Lord of the Admiralty, on the transport of coal from Murmansk [Russia] by Russian ships; WSC, Minister of Munitions, on labour, manpower and materials; and Sir Auckland Geddes, Minister of National Service, commenting on WSC' s paper.
