|CHAR 8/24/11||Letter from Joseph Chamberlain (Torquay [Devon]) to WSC, thanking him for giving an introduction for a Mr Field, and congratulating him on his biography of Lord Randolph Churchill. Chamberlain comments on the difficulty for a son in writing an impartial account of his father, and praises WSC for his success in allowing the facts to tell their own story. He points out one mistake in WSC's account of the Kilmainham Treaty, and negotiations with Charles Parnell.||10 Feb 1906|
