Also includes: preliminary notes on "The Altmark Incident [Germany]"; a 1940 memorandum by Foreign Secretary [Lord Halifax, earlier Edward Wood and Lord Irwin] on action in Norwegian territorial waters; copies and proofs of contemporary minutes and letters from WSC and provisional proofs entitled "Admiralty Minutes - December 1939", for incorporation into the chapter; sections provisionally intended to feature in the chapter entitled "The Front in France"; letter from Rear-Admiral Robert Dickson [Chief of Naval Information]; file note by Gilliatt.
