Correspondents include: Belgian General Baron Wahis; Arthur Chater on British Somaliland [later Somalia] operations; Hugh Ellis-Rees (War Office) on German invasion plans in 1940; 2nd Lord Harcourt (2), Alfred Bavin (Cabinet Office), and John Hanbury-Williams [Chairman, Courtaulds Limited] on the sale of Courtaulds' shares in the American Viscose Corporation; Sir Shenton Thomas on Singapore and Malaya's [later Malaysia] war effort; Sir Desmond Morton [former Personal Assistant to WSC]; Pierre Teitgen, French Minister for the Armed Forces, and Sir Alfred Duff Cooper [later 1st Lord Norwich] on a story involving French families laying Union Jacks on their sons' coffins; Oliver Vaughan-Jackson on aerial mine fields.
