Letter from Sidney Harris [Under Secretary of State, Home Office] to Alexander Murray, Master of Elibank [Parliamentary Secretary, Treasury] marked "private" writing on behalf of WSC concerning the petition by Sir Alfred Mond for a Royal Licence to use supporters to his armorial bearings. Harris encloses Home Office papers [not present] concerning the use of this privilege and asks for Murray's opinion on the issue. Signed manuscript.

Reply from Alexander Murray, Master of Elibank to Sidney Harris saying that [WSC] would be justified in giving Sir Alfred Mond the right to use supporters to his armorial bearings in view of the achievements of his late father, Dr Ludwig Mond, and recommending that [WSC] look favourably on such applications from baronets.
