Letter from WSC to Anthony Eden [Foreign Secretary, later 1st Lord Avon] informing him that Ambassadors do not automatically become Privy Councillors and criticisms have been made of the abilities of Sir Miles Lampson [British Ambassador to Egypt and High Commissioner for the Sudan, later 1st Lord Killearn] by Clement Attlee [Lord Privy Seal] amongst others, but if Eden is adamant WSC will submit Lampson's name to King George VI.
